What is Qubits Curriculum?
Qubit stands for Quantum bits. It is the basic unit of quantum information—the quantum version of the classical binary bit. Quantum computing is considered to be the future of computing.
Qubits Curriculum introduces K-12 students to technology based education. The activities are designed to be engaging and connecting technology with engineering, art, and other subjects. Throughout this set of activities, students have opportunities to reflect on their own thinking and their expectation of technology that “thinks”.
Qubits will help students solidify their thinking about what robots and AI are by identifying examples in their environment. Then, it develops children’s intuition about how the technology works through powerful metaphors in the form of hands-on activities. Finally, it allows children to envision how they see this technology impacting the future.
Why should students learn about Futuristic Technology?
It's vital that children have an understanding of some of the major tech tools that will impact their future and look at the various factors affecting their thoughts One thing is unequivocally clear: There has never been a better time to study Artificial Intelligence. Demand for smarter solutions to problems big and small—combined with increasing access to high-performance computing and an abundance of rich data sources—means AI is poised to seismically impact the world of computing for the better.
